Dublin Fire Brigade rushed to the scene and quickly got the blaze under control

An apartment fire broke out in north Dublin in the early hours of Wednesday morning, leaving two people hospitalised.
Dublin Fire Brigade rushed to the scene in Holywell in Swords just before 1am. Five fire engines, including a turntable ladder and emergency tender, attended the blaze.
There were also two ambulances in attendance, from Swords and Finglas fire stations. They treated four people at the scene, with two of these taken to hospital.
Dublin Fire Brigade had the fire in control by 1.20am. A number of people were placed in emergency accommodation as a result of the fire.

Dublin Fire Brigade said: “Shortly before 1 am five fire engines including a turntable ladder and emergency tender were sent to a well developed apartment fire in Swords in the early hours of this morning. Two ambulances from Swords fire station and Finglas fire station were also mobilised to the scene.
“Four people were treated at the incident with two removed to hospital. A number of people were in need of emergency housing and the fire was under control by 0120 hours.”
