Ireland’s horseracing regulator is to pursue billionaire Luke Comer in the High Court for over €1m in allegedly unpaid fines and costs incurred in the construction mogul’s long-running disciplinary case over horse doping.
Mr Comer, who lives in Monaco, received a three-year horse-racing ban and substantial fines after 12 of his horses were found to have failed drug tests, in one of the biggest horse doping cases of its kind. Mr Comer insisted he was innocent but lost his appeal in 2024.
