Tullinaglug, Tourlestrone, Co. Sligo – passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in New York, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 27, 1956, in Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo, Teresa was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Anne Flynn. In 1975, she immigrated to the Bronx, New York, with her brother, Joe and later settled with her sister, Mary. Shortly thereafter, she met her beloved husband, Aidan, and together they built a beautiful life centered on love, faith, and family. Their son, Sean, was the apple of her eye and her greatest joy.
Teresa is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Aidan; her loving son, Sean; and her cherished daughter-in-law, Rosa. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary and Kitty, and her brothers, Liam and Brendan. Teresa was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph and Patrick. She will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, brother and sister in laws, extended family, and countless friends and neighbours whose lives she touched.
Teresa had a heart of gold and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith. She carried her Irish Catholic roots with immense pride throughout her life and gave generously of her time and love to her parish community at St. Ann’s.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in her memory.

Following the Mass, Teresa will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Avenue- Hawthorne, New York 10532.
