Dingle is set to play a starring role in an upcoming new film starring Bill Nighy (About Time, Pirates of the Carribbean) and Games of Thrones star, Maisie Williams.

500 Miles, which had its world premiere at the recent Dublin International Film Festival, also stars Clare Dunne, Maisie Williams and Michael Socha.

The film centres on two young brothers who run away from home, prompting a frantic search by their parents (Dunne and Socha). Finn (Roman Griffin Davis) and his younger brother Charlie (Dexter Sol Ansell) leave Yorkshire and head across land and sea to Ireland’s west coast.

On the journey they are helped by Cáit (Williams), a free-spirited busker, as they travel to Dingle to look for their estranged grandfather, played by Nighy.

The film is directed by BAFTA-winner Morgan Matthews and written by Malcolm Campbell, adapting Mark Lowery’s book Charlie and Me: 421 Miles from Home.
