Singer Lelika presented an updated competition version of the song Ridnym, which will represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna. The new edit has a richer sound, in particular thanks to the bandura performed by musician Yaroslav Dzhus.
“The version of Ridnym for Eurovision is special to me. I wanted to emphasize its roots and sound even more, so at the very start there is a stronger, purer bandura tone. The bandura is a highly symbolic instrument for Ukrainian culture. In its sound lies our history, our songs, and memory. I call it the “Ukrainian harp,” but for us it has an even deeper meaning – it’s a sound that instantly brings home.”
