Firefighters attend early morning fire at McDonalds drive-thru in Dundalk

Traffic diversions are in place

Update: 8.10am

Fire fighters are at the scene of a blaze at the McDonald’s Drive-thru in Dundalk.

It was reported shortly after 5.30am.

Fire crews from Dundalk and Ardee are in attendance.

The immediate area is sealed off.

Traffic diversions, which had been in place earlier, have since been lifted.

It’s understood part of the roof is being removed as part of efforts to put out the fire which is believed to have started in a storage area beside the drive-thru kiosks.
