Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious crash in north Sligo. It is understood there is one fatality.
The collision occurred on the N15 between Cliffoney, Co Sligo and Tullaghan, Co Leitrim this morning.
The stretch of road is closed with local diversions in place.
Road users are asked to take alternative routes if possible.
Any HGVs travelling from Sligo to Donegal should divert on N16 via Manorhamilton.
A Garda spokesperson said, “Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the N15 between Cliffoney, Co Sligo and Tullaghan, Co Leitrim.
“There is no further information at this time.”
