A thirteen-year-old clip from the Today show has reemerged showing Nancy Guthrie in her bedroom at her Tucson, Arizona, residence.
The 2013 footage comes from a segment where the mother of 54-year-old Today anchor Savannah Guthrie demonstrated her bed-making technique from inside her $1 million property, while Savannah and her colleagues tried to copy the method from the network’s New York City studio.
The 84-year-old has been missing since February 1 and is suspected to have been taken from the desert home, where she has resided for 50 years. The uncommon footage of the missing mother of three resurfaced after a chilling new theory emerged on how Nancy Guthrie was sickeningly taken from her home.

During the upbeat segment, recorded at 3 AM MST because of the time zone difference, Savannah can be heard expressing a heartfelt message to her mother, 13 years before she disappeared, simply ending the clip, “Love you, Mom!” reports the Irish Star.
Soon after her disappearance, the FBI released images and video from the home’s doorbell camera that captured a masked individual wearing gloves and carrying a firearm in the same location where Nancy’s blood was discovered by investigators, indicating a violent confrontation.

In the video, 71-year-old Nancy stated, “Well, I think everybody needs to know how to make a bed. So, when the time came to teach [Savannah and her siblings] how to make a bed, this is what I tried to teach you,” before launching into the cleaning lesson.
Savannah confessed that she tends to “just leave” her bed unmade after rising in the morning. Her mother playfully chided, “All three of the kids thought [bed-making] was a really worthless skill.”
Former Today anchor Natalie Morales humorously commented that Nancy’s sheets were so tightly tucked that one “could bounce a quarter off of it.” In response, Nancy retorted, “Natalie, don’t put me to the test. It’s way too early,” pointing out that it was still the middle of the night in Arizona.

Back at the Rockefeller Center studio where Today is filmed, the hosts attempted to replicate Nancy’s bed-making technique. Al Roker and Natalie followed the matriarch’s instructions precisely, whilst Savannah added the final touches to the impeccably made bed.
As they wrapped up, Savannah urged her mother to catch some sleep, jokingly offering, “I’ll teach you a skill! It’s called ‘napping,’ when you’re up at these hours,” before delivering a now-heartbreaking three-word farewell, “Love you, Mom.”
The elderly woman has resided in the same single-story red brick house in the Catalina Foothills since the 1970s, where she brought up Savannah and her siblings. This news follows a recent development in the case after Nancy Guthrie’s neighbor issued a chilling eight-word description of the suspected kidnapper.
