Judge condemns man (39) for ‘extraordinarily dangerous’ arson attack in Ballina
Ballina, County Mayo
A 39-year-old man has been jailed for more than seven years for petrol bombing a family home in Ballina while a couple and their six children slept.
Brendan Twomey of Elphin, Co Roscommon, threw a lit petrol bomb through the sitting-room window of John and Margaret Sweeney’s home in the early hours of February 21, 2025.
