Good evening. Following Friday night’s matches, it’s a quick turnaround for the Premier Division clubs to get themselves ready for Round 7 of the 2026 campaign.

The table is looking notably lob-sided at the moment with the Dublin sides occupying the top four positions and two of those – leaders Bohemians and Shelbourne – face off in a derby at Tolka Park. Bohs remain unbeaten and take on a Shels squad stripped of several first-team regulars.

On the eve of St Patrick’s Day, the Saints will look to extend their four-game winning run when Derry City arrive in Inchicore. Tiernan Lynch’s men are under increasing pressure due to a less-than-convincing start to the season, with boos audible at the Brandywell after the 2-1 loss to Shels made it back-to-back defeats.

Drogheda United will want to improve their recent form with no points to show from the last three outings but champions Shamrock Rovers, fresh from a 2-0 win away to Sligo Rovers, surely have other ideas.

Ciarán Kilduff’s Dundalk had to be patient for their first victory but it came in emphatic fashion with a 5-0 drubbing of Waterford at Oriel Park three nights ago. They’re at home again with Sligo Rovers the latest visitors.

And in Virgin Media’s televised fixture, bottom-placed Waterford travel to Galway United in a clash that could arguably be billed as an early relegation six-pointer.
