Tom O’Sullivan of Dingle celebrates a late point in the All-Ireland final

Tom O’Sullivan has said his AIB All-Ireland club football final tour de force was inspired by the memory of his grandmother Maura Murphy, who died on the weekend that they beat St Brigid’s in a epic contest in January.

O’Sullivan’s performances for Dingle earned him the AIB club footballer of the year award with his closing five minutes of the final, when he scored two points and then set up the winner for Mikey Geaney, among the best from any individual in Croke Park.
