The Cork player who bought their ticket online, won €1 million in addition to the usual Lotto Plus Raffle prize money

The winner has become the 4th National Lottery millionaire of 2026 winning €1,000,500, after they purchased their ticket online.

The special Lotto Plus Raffle event took place last night, which typically sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw.

Each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn were entered into a once-off random draw where one ticket was selected to win an additional prize of €1 million. 

 While every ticket holder who had the winning raffle number won €500, the Cork player has won €1 million, in addition to the usual €500 prize with with raffle number 1725.

Two players in Kildare and Galway also scooped €42,191 each in the main draw.

National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr said: “What a weekend it’s been for a Lotto player in Cork!

“An email has been sent to the online winner’s account encouraging them to check their account.

“The Saturday night winners should now make contact with our Prize Claims team who will make arrangements for them to visit Lottery Headquarters and collect their prize.”

Millionaire winners so far this year include a €1,005,000 prize in the special EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle on Friday, 13 February.

The player purchased their ticket at the Spar store at 122 Drumcondra Road Upper.

Another winner scooped the top prize from the Daily Million Draw on Monday, 16 February.

A €11,101,286 Lotto jackpot was also secured on Wednesday, 25 February after a purchase from Kelly’s Mace at the Circle K Service Station on the Mulranny Road in Newport.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language.

Last year charity Alliance for Immigrant and Refugee Women in Ireland (AkiDwA) secured the top prize as National Lottery Good Cause of the Year, taking home €35,000.

Meanwhile, in 2024 alone, €239.3 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
