Kristen Cabot, the woman who found herself at the centre of Coldplay’s kiss cam scandal back in July 2025, has dropped a new bombshell relating to the viral moment that exposed her “affair” with Astronomer CEO Andy Byron.

The mum-of-two has sat down for a candid tell-all for Oprah Winfrey’s podcast, where she revealed the truth behind her relationship with her then-boss – and the controversial few seconds that changed both of their lives.

In a preview clip ahead of the full episode dropping later tonight, Cabot insists the pair did not do anything wrong on that fateful evening because they were both secretly separated from their partners.

“I was walking into the concert and my daughter messaged me and said ‘oh it’s so great that you and Andrew (Cabot) are both at Coldplay’. So she let me know that my estranged husband was also at the concert,” Cabot is heard saying in the clip currently being circulated by The Times.

The interview is briefly interrupted by the talk show queen, who wanted to point out a very important detail mentioned in that comment – the real truth that no one has known about until now.

“This is what I did not know before the story and you all obviously didn’t know either,” Winfrey said, asking the live audience sitting in on the chat.

“That she was separated from her husband and that her boss was also separated – or said he was separated – from his wife.”

The live guests nodded in shock – the detail of their separation has been one that has been left out of the story thus far.

“In my mind I thought well is this going to be weird if he sees me with Andy? Like that crossed my mind. If I run into him. But then I was like I’m in Gilette Stadium, there’s 55 thousand people here, I’m probably not going to run into him,” she chuckled.

“But it doesn’t matter … that would’ve been better at the end of the day if I’d just run into him, but he knows how closely Andy and I work together. He knows we socially got lunches and got drinks. It was fine.

“He knows the nature of my work and the way (I work). I’ve shared desks with the CEOs I work with. It’s a very close relationship so it didn’t matter.”

Except, it certainly did matter when Coldplay frontman Chris Martin put both Cabot and Byron under the kiss cam spotlight, seeing them both scramble for cover when the image of them cuddling was plastered on the stadium screen.

“Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” laughed the musician at their panicked response.

The moment went viral, with the video shared around the globe, racking up more than 300 billion views.

With the full episode of her exclusive chat due to drop later this evening, Cabot is sure to share more truths about that evening and how her private life spiralled following the scandal.
