This year, Catherine looked at her regal best in a bottle green Alexander McQueen coat, Gina Foster hat and diamond and emerald earrings by Asprey. These jewels are particularly striking as they have only been seen once before: at the Earthshot Prize ceremony in Boston in 2022. The outfit included another reference to this visit to the US as the coat was last seen during the surrounding engagements.
The Princess of Wales, Colonel of the Irish Guards, will return to the St Patrick’s Day Parade on 17 March 2025

The Princess of Wales once again joined the parade where she presented the traditional sprigs of shamrock to the Officers and Guardsmen who in turn issued it along the ranks, as well as presenting it to the Irish Wolf Hound regimental mascot. The parade concluded with a Royal Salute and march-past where Her Royal Highness took the salute as Colonel.
Following the parade, Her Royal Highness awarded long service and good conduct medals to soldiers within the regiment then meet a group of Regimental Association Members of the Irish Guards and the ‘Mini Micks’, who are junior cadets from Northern Ireland. The Princess then joined the official Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess photographs.
