Overseas companies are increasingly using a Wicklow remote‑working hub as their Irish base, but its owner has warned that Government plans to tighten the code of practice on remote‑work requests risk creating fresh burdens for small employers.

Paul Jacob, who runs Wicklow Hub in Newtownmountkennedy, said the current system is working effectively, and that further regulation could risk tipping the balance too far against employers.
