A planning application is to be submitted to Donegal County Council for permission for an International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) in Ramelton.

The Blue Goat, an artisan food store on The Quay, is seeking a change of use to a Designated Accommodation Centre (DAC) for applicants seeking international protection.

The restored building also includes two holiday rental apartments.

The planning application notice was published in a local newspaper this week.
