A local councillor has branded a major illegal dumping incident in Bridgend as “selfish.”
Cllr Jack Murray says that a number of constituents have contacted him regarding the incident, which took place in the townland of Elaghbeg.
He says that Donegal County Council’s Litter Warden will be informed regarding the matter.
“I know that it has already been reported to the Gardaí, while I will be engaging with the Council’s Litter Warden as well.”
“Among the waste is several items which will allow for the identification of the person responsible so I expect swift action to be taken.”
“This type of selfish activity needs to be stopped,” the Councillor said.
