War might actually benefit Greek tourism, says Deutsche Bank

The net impact of the war in the Middle East on Greek tourism remains uncertain, although it could ultimately be positive, depending largely on the duration and intensity of the conflict, Deutsche Bank estimates in a report on Greek economy, released Thursday.

As the German bank explains, previous events suggest a possible positive diversion of tourism flows to Greece, as travelers seek safer Mediterranean destinations than countries like Israel, Turkey etc.

However, this is partly offset by risks, such as travel warnings citing broader instability in the Eastern Mediterranean, while inflation is also set to increase.
