Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale reveals a shocking move from one of Kim Tate’s many enemies next week, after it appears that she’s been poisoned during a truce dinner with the Dingles.
There are dramatic scenes at Wishing Well Cottage when Kim starts choking mid-meal and then collapses.
As Dr Liam Cavanagh and Cain Dingle rush to get Kim to the hospital, the rest of the diners are on tenterhooks as they await news on her condition.

However, the test results raise more questions than answers when they reveal that Kim has likely eaten some poisonous mushrooms – and the finger-pointing begins…
The story unfolds as Kim agrees to go for a meal with the Dingles after Lydia invites her, determined to stop the war between their families.
Disaster strikes, though, and Kim ends up in the hospital. Graham Foster seeks answers from trainee doctor Jacob Sugden, who reveals that the test results show Kim has symptoms consistent with severe mushroom poisoning.
Meanwhile, the Dingles gather at The Woolpack as suspects, waiting for news.

“Graham, armed with his intel, turns up and announces that there’s a poisoner in the midst – and that he intends to root them out,” explains our Emmerdale source.
“Everyone knows Lydia is Kim’s best mate, so she’s immediately exonerated, but Sam is very much in the frame. That’s because he was the one who foraged the mushrooms used – on Cain’s orders – prompting Sam to accuse his brother of trying to kill Kim.”
The Dingles are no strangers to messy family confrontations, but it cuts Cain to the core to be accused by Sam. There’s obviously no love lost between him and Kim, particularly after Joe Tate forced the sale of Butlers Farm to the Tates.
But Cain takes great exception to being accused, especially when he and his family are facing a hellish battle ahead.

As the Dingles and Graham argue over the mushroom foraging theory, Kim’s got more on her plate when Joe turns up at her bedside. She is deeply sceptical that he’s rushed over out of the goodness of his heart, especially as he now knows of her plans to leave Home Farm to Lydia.
“If you are Kim Tate right now, you can’t trust anybody – especially Joe,” warns our insider. “It’s an uneasy dynamic between them, especially now Joe knows that Kim intends to leave Home Farm to Lydia. She’s wondering if he has some dark intentions on how to disinherit Lydia.”
No matter how fiercely Joe denies he’s involved, Kim will be sleeping with one eye open from now on. She’s managed to accrue enemies in every corner of Emmerdale, but will the true culprit of this poisonous plot be revealed?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
