Dan Brosnan.
A Wexford man jailed for abusing two sisters has argued that evidence he asked another girl if she felt “horny” after she told him she had previously been sexually assaulted by another man should not have gone before the trial jury.
Barristers for Dan Brosnan (65), who is the father of Wexford Gaelic football star Ben Brosnan, told the Court of Appeal that this evidence was “grossly prejudicial” as it implied that the appellant was becoming “excited in the sexual sense” by the talk of sexual abuse of a child.
