My most vocal critics are from opposite ends of the spectrum – vegans and intensive farmers

“I see you and your stuff on social media” is a phrase that is heard all the time in the farm shop from everyone between 20 years of age up to 80. As far as I can tell, the young men find us on TikTok, the yummy mummies and young women find us on Instagram and the older ladies and gentlemen who like old-fashioned steaks and rounds of bacon follow our progress on Facebook.

I don’t think we would have any customers in the farm shop without the power of social media. If I’d been waiting to be ‘discovered’ the old-fashioned way by a magazine, newspaper or radio show, I’d still be waiting.
