The Senior girls’ football team of Coláiste Bhríde Carnew have qualified for the All-Ireland ‘B’ final following a dramatic and unforgettable semi-final victory over Coláiste na Sceilge (Kerry) in Mallow on Wednesday last.
At one stage it looked as though the game had slipped away from the Wicklow girls as the Kerry side held a two-point advantage deep into injury time of extra-time, but the never-say-die spirit of the Carnew girls came to the fore as they snatched victory with the final attack of the game.
