France to Announce Targeted Measures Amid Rising Energy Prices from Iran War
Government Response to Energy Price Spikes

PARIS, March 26 (Reuters) – France will announce targeted measures in the coming days to address energy price spikes driven by the Iran war, French finance minister Roland Lescure said on Thursday.

Support for Affected Sectors

The government is preparing support for sectors hit hard by rising costs, including trucking companies and fisheries that are struggling to pay their energy bills, he said.

Upcoming Announcements

“In the next few days we will be able to announce new measures,” Lescure said in an interview with French broadcaster RTL.

Previous and Future Measures

“We have already taken steps for those, we are looking at what we call high-mileage drivers, but we will do so again in a targeted manner.”

International Coordination

Lescure said he had called a meeting with G7 finance ministers, energy ministers and central bankers for Monday to discuss the situation.
