A shop worker who was sacked after she gave evidence in a separate whistleblower penalisation claim before the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) has won €40,000 in compensation.
“Complainants must be free to lodge complaints in relevant courts and individuals must be free to give evidence without fear of reprisals,” adjudication officer Patricia Owens wrote in a decision published on Wednesday.
