Heimir Hallgrimsson has indicated that he would like Seamus Coleman to continue playing for Ireland and believes that age alone should not be an obstacle to the veteran continuing to Euro 2028.

Coleman will turn 40 four months after the tournament and his appearance in Thursday’s agonising playoff defeat to Czechia was his first senior game at any level since November.
