An urgent appeal has been issued to Irish Lotto players after two lucky punters bagged life-changing prizes on Saturday.
An online Lotto player in Co Cork had a weekend to remember after matching five numbers and the bonus in Saturday’s main Lotto draw to win €49,066.
The winning Lotto numbers for Saturday’s (March 28) draw were: 12, 16, 19, 25, 43, 46 and the Bonus was 11.
The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning ticket was purchased on the day of the draw.
The Cork player wasn’t the only punter celebrating a huge Lotto win, as Mayo player scooped a prize of €375,000 after they matched five numbers in the Six Number Game of the Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 Plus Two draw.

Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 is a game based upon the results of Lotto, Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2. Players decide how many numbers they play, i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5.
Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 can be played on any or all three of the Lotto games. The top prize per €1 played for the six-number game is €125,000 and the top prize for the seven-number game is €40,000.
The Mayo player selected a €3 ticket, meaning the usual top prize of €125,000 in the draw was multiplied by three to give the player a total prize of €375,000.
Lotto bosses have confirmed that the player purchased their Quick Pick ticket from Centra, Station Road, Castlebar, Co. Mayo on Saturday, March 28.
The winning Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 Plus Two numbers for Saturday’s draw were: 07, 19, 36, 39, 41, 47 and the Bonus was 21.
The National Lottery is urging players in both Co. Cork and Co. Mayo to carefully check their tickets and online account.
Darragh O’Dwyer, National Lottery spokesperson said: “What a Saturday night it has been for our Lotto and Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 Plus players!
“A Mayo player won a total prize of €375,000 in the 6 number game in Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 Plus Two draw. And of course, that wasn’t our only big winner in Saturday night’s draws. An online player in Cork scooped €49,066 in the main Lotto draw. In total, over 82,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws.
“Last night’s winners should now make contact with our Prize Claims team who will make arrangements for them to visit National Lottery Headquarters and collect their prize.”
Players dreaming of being the next big winners are reminded that Wednesday night’s Lotto jackpot is set to roll towards an estimated €5 million. Tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.45pm cut-off time for sales this evening.
