A major protest march is set to take place in Clonmel calling for increased safety around horses on public roads following a horrific incident in which a horse died in a crash.

Local TD Michael Murphy has written to the Transport Minister calling for clear national legislation to be strengthened around sulky racing with a minimum age of at least 17 to control the vehicle.
