The Social Democrats have said it would be “irresponsible” to reduce inheritance tax, after Taoiseach Micheál Martin said the system needs to be reformed.

Amid renewed debate over the fairness of the inheritance tax system, political parties have outlined their positions after the Fianna Fáil leader said he wanted to see it reformed.
