Emmerdale spoilers follow from Thursday’s episode (2 April), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet.
Emmerdale reveals more worrying news for Kim Tate tonight, as Graham Foster is refusing to give up on his ruthless plan to destroy her.
Kim narrowly escaped with her life this week after Graham tampered with her medication by slipping in stronger tablets, causing her to unknowingly overdose.
As Kim blames herself for taking too many pills, Graham’s horrifying act has remained undetected. So he’s now perfectly placed to bide his time before unleashing another cruel scheme… although it may not involve attempted murder this time.

In Thursday’s episode, there’s a real danger that Kim could let her guard down around Graham as she reluctantly thanks him for supposedly protecting her. Kim has heard from her best friend Lydia Dingle that Graham was playing detective when everyone believed that someone had poisoned her food.
Reflecting on the past week of chaos, Kim tells Graham: “You owe Lydia an apology. And I probably owe you one too – Lydia says you’ve been standing up for me.”
Graham replies: “Just trying to get to the truth. I’d do the same for anyone.”
Later, there’s an ominous insight into Graham’s state of mind as he helps young Clemmie Reed with a school project. Clemmie has been tasked with building a Roman fort and writing about one of the generals.

Graham encourages Clemmie to focus on Quintus Fabius Maximus, revealing how he went from a quiet man to “one of the most successful generals in Rome”.
“By using his brain,” Graham continues. “Instead of fighting big, bloody battles, he simply cut off the food supply of his enemies. He knew the best way to beat them was to be patient. Because sometimes, it pays to play the long game…”
With Graham clearly not backing down, are there more nasty surprises in store for Kim?

Andrew Scarborough, who plays Graham, recently told us: “Graham is clearly still incredibly angry that Kim tried to kill him six years ago. This resulted in him faking his own death to escape the hit she put out on him. He lost Rhona in this process, so he still hasn’t forgiven Kim for that. She took six years of his life away.
“That is why he just tried to kill her – for revenge. I am not convinced his whole heart was in it because their relationship is complicated. I think if his whole heart were in it, he would have actually made it happen.”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
