Billy Hann had been leading Dublin Bus for less than a fortnight when he got a sense of just how exposed the role can be. “I was called into an Oireachtas committee 13 days after starting as CEO,” he recalls.
The political scrutiny was justified, he hastens to add. “They were raising issues which I was starting to see very quickly. It was around reliability of our services.”
