Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
It’s been a busy time on Hollyoaks in recent weeks, with several big storylines taking place. With Ste Hay discovering Rex Gallagher’s secret alongside the return of the villainous Clare Devine, there’s been no shortage of drama.
That is only set to intensify, with the Channel 4 soap set to kill off a character in the coming weeks. Unfortunately for those who like to be surprised, some fans have spotted that the figure may have already been revealed.

During Wednesday’s (1 April) episode, Clare returned to the village to confront her grandfather Froggy Black, and the pair got into a heated confrontation as family tensions resurfaced.
Clare’s mood worsened when she discovered that Froggy had called the police in a bid to have her serve time behind bars, with the pair getting into a violent struggle. As the screen faded to black, two gunshots were heard.
It wasn’t initially revealed who had been shot, with the details set to be revealed during Monday’s (6 April) instalment. The social media team for the soap may have jumped the gun, however, as they inadvertently revealed who had died.
On the soap’s YouTube channel, a video titled ‘The Death of Froggy Black’ was released, with the description reading: “He finally opened his heart… Only for Clare to tear a bullet straight through it.”
With the video being posted on April Fool’s Day, some fans expressed hope that news of Froggy’s death wasn’t true, with one user commenting: “April Fooool’s!! We didn’t see his body, so maybe he is still alive…Right?”

“I really hope they haven’t killed him off I know it took a little while but I feel like the audience really warmed up to him so I hope they didn’t just bin him off,” remarked another disappointed fan.
It seems unlikely that their wish will be fulfilled, however, after it was reported last month that actor John Middleton had decided to leave his role. Since then, neither the actor nor the soap have officially commented on his reported, and ultimately likely, exit.
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
