A County Derry man has been convicted and fined €320 for a speeding offence after driving at 124kph near the Barnesmore Gap.
Eoin Dooey (24) of Manor Court, Kilrea, Coleraine, appeared at Donegal District Court at Ballyshannon Courthouse.
He pleaded guilty of driving a vehicle exceeding the National Road Speed Limit of 100kph on September 6, 2025 on the N15 at Keadew Lower.
Dooey told Judge Cunningham that he had tried to pay the speeding ticket online.
Judge Cunningham said: “The very best I can do for you is to convict and fine €320 and give four months to pay. That was what you would have paid.”
