Limerick is changing all the time – cranes on skylines, new cafés on old streets, students arriving and leaving with the academic calendar. The city’s physical transformation has been captured for decades in photographs. The quieter story, the one that is harder to archive, is the people: the faces passing on Henry Street, the small exchanges, the ordinary moments that become memory.
For the past year, one engineer with a camera has been collecting those moments, approaching strangers with a compliment and asking for a photograph. Originally from Pakistan, Tamhasip Khan documents Limerick people going about their day and shares the encounters online, pairing portraits with short clips of conversation that aim to show the city at its most open and kind.
