Patients are at an increased risk of picking up superbugs and other infections in hospitals across the country as staff try to deliver modern medicine in old buildings, a new set of inspection reports has warned.
ÂIn several facilities, patients are also being treated in understaffed wards with key specialist jobs vacant, the reports from the Health Information and ÂQuality Authority (Hiqa) revealed yesterday.
