Catherine Carr has a sister who is older than her by 22 months, and a sister younger than her by six years – both of whom she gets along with famously. Yet she’s the first to note that their upbringing wasn’t exactly typical.

Carr’s parents split up when she was 11. She and her older sister moved back to the UK from the Netherlands with their father, while her younger sister lived with her mother in the Netherlands.
