SCHOEPS Microphones has announced the Desert Island Boom Set, a compact modular set designed for location sound and broadcast.
The Desert Island Boom Set is a compact kit built around the CMC 1 U microphone amplifier, the MK 41 supercardioid capsule, and the KMIT shotgun capsule, in the CMIT’s signature blue finish, that comes in a Pelican Case.

The set was designed to reflect how boom operators actually work. Indoors, the MK 41 is claimed to deliver the controlled pickup pattern and natural sound character that dialogue recording requires. Outside, the KMIT provides the additional directivity needed on location. With one amplifier body and two capsules, they can be swapped in seconds.
Priocing & Availability
The Desert Island Boom Set will be available for $3,950 USD.
