After the launch of the Galaxy S26 series, the attention is now shifting to Samsung’s next-generation foldable phones. The company is expected to unveil three new foldable devices to compete with Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone, which is rumored to launch this year.
A new report claims that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will be announced at a Galaxy Unpacked event in London.

According to Korea Economic TV reporter Kim Dae-yeon, Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event will be held in London, UK, on July 22, 2026. Alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the company will reportedly unveil a device called the Galaxy Z Fold Wide. This model is rumored to feature a wider 4:3 aspect ratio display and support for the S Pen. The report also claims that the device could be 0.5mm thinner than Apple’s foldable iPhone.
Both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold Wide are expected to feature foldable OLED displays with no visible crease. Samsung Display showcased such a panel at CES 2026, and we were able to capture it in a photo. Apple’s foldable iPhone is also rumored to feature a similar crease-free display.

Samsung has released several Galaxy Z Fold series devices in the past with S Pen support. However, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 did not include S Pen functionality, as the company focused on achieving a thinner and lighter design. This year, Samsung appears to be bringing back S Pen support to its foldable lineup, which could serve as a key differentiator compared to Apple’s foldable iPhone.
It remains unclear whether the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will also support the S Pen or if the feature will be exclusive to the Galaxy Z Fold Wide.
