Ireland head coach Scott Bemand said it was always going to be a tough ask against the World Cup champions following their 33-12 defeat to England in their opening game of the Women’s Six Nations at Twickenham.
Ireland trailed a dominant Red Roses side 21-0 at half-time before substitute winger Anna McGann and captain Erin King scored two tries in the final quarter.
