The final episode of Married At First Sight was a rollercoaster of emotions for the brides, grooms and experts.
Each couple that sat on the commitment ceremony couch for the last time had to watch clips of their highs and lows from the 2026 season.
While some couples had more highs than lows, the same couldn’t be said for Bec Zacharia, who was on the couch without her ex-husband Danny Hewitt.
Viewers saw Bec cover her eyes during some of the more controversial moments, and hold back tears as she watched her three-month relationship implode.

The Bec and Danny wrap up included their lack of sexual chemistry, the fights they had over the three months, and the endless drama that Bec was involved in.
There was unseen footage of Danny saying he’s never met a “b***h that don’t love me”.
While he was referring to Bec’s dog Coco, and was meant to be a bit of humour, the joke fell flat with the other brides and grooms.
There was a collection of clips of Bec telling the camera that she and Danny were “stronger than ever”, which felt like a knife to the heart considering Danny dumped her at the final vows.
The wrap up also showed several videos of Bec insisting Danny was falling in love with her, alongside clips of him saying he wouldn’t do that “for a month of Sundays”.

Viewers were torn after watching Bec and Danny’s “brutal” wrap up, with some saying the bride was already clearly hurting and this was just making things worse.
“This is so humiliating,” wrote one.
“Can we give Bec a rest please? She’s honestly been through enough,” said another.
“Anyone else really concerned for Bec’s well being after this?” added a third.
Her supporters also praised her for at least showing up to the final commitment ceremony and facing the criticism compared to Danny.
But others felt it was important for Bec to see how she handled herself on the show.

“After how horrible and abusive Bec has been to everyone this whole season, you’re giving her the victim edit in the end?” said one.
“The editors have got the knives out for Danny. Considering how horrible and abusive Bec had been, THIS is what they show? They didn’t even show her and Gia together about what subpar men their partners are,” added another.
Bec has admitted that watching each episode of Married At First Sight has been incredibly difficult.
But following the final dinner party, she claimed she has learned to love herself, and that she now feels stronger, wiser and “unshakable” in her self-worth.
“I know exactly what I bring to the table now,” she added.
In a TikTok video, she said she has made a lot of changes in her life since the show finished filming and has tried to grow from her experiences on MAFS.
“Hopefully there’s a bright future,” she said.
