President Connolly to convene Council of State to assess newly passed International Protection Bill

President Catherine Connolly is to convene the Council of State for the first time in her term of office – on the newly-passed International Protection Bill.

The legislation, piloted by Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan, passed all stages on Wednesday night with final votes on submitted amendments from the Seanad.
