What the homes at Dunkettle will look like
As demand for housing in Cork continues to soar, a new €250m 550-home development is launching its first, limited sales tomorrow morning on the South East side of the city.
It’s a ‘soft start’ – with just 30 released tomorrow morning in an off-plan (yet to be completed) sales launch. But this is one of the most anticipated developments in Cork in some years.
From the Cork-based O’Flynn Group and sold via Sherry Fitzgerald, the new homes will be only 15 minutes from the city centre, close to the Dunkettle roundabout, and prices start at €360k. You can register interest here.
The homes range from 2-bed to 4-bed semi-detached houses. The prices are:
2 beds – €360,0003 bed end of terrace: €435,0003 bed semi-detached: €490,0004 bed semi-detached: €535,000
This is the first phase of a major development which plans to build more than 1,000 homes in the area and is expected to cost over €500m. With plans secured for the first 550 homes, the development is also aiming for a further 540 units, making the Dunkettle scheme one of the largest housing developments outside Dublin. The first 30 homes will be released in an off-plan sales launch tomorrow, while it is understood that the full project is expected to take six to seven years.
The Dunkettle, Glounthane area has become a sought after area, with new amenities like the greenway/cycleway and road and rail links. The roads in the area have improved significantly since the lands were purchased in 2003, specifically with the opening in 2024 of the €215m Dunkettle Interchange.
