This Star System of decorative lighting is by China-based ID firm Mario Tsai Studio.
It consists of modular units of fabric stretched over a frame containing LEDs.
Power is transmitted daisy-chain style, through specially designed connectors.
It’s not clear if these were designed for an exhibition, as a one-off for a client or as a product line. While the Star System is currently on display at the firm’s showroom in Hangzhou (see below), they’re not yet listed as a project on the firm’s website.
