John died peacefully at home on Thursday 16th April 2026 with his loving family around him. 
Survived and lovingly remembered by his wife Helen, his daughters Sandra, Claire and Christine, his grandchildren Daniel, Rebecca, Philippa, Jared and Teddy, his son-in-law, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law and extended family.

Reposing at home in Old Mill Road (eircode V42P650) on Sunday 19th April from 5pm to 7pm. 
Arriving at The Church of the Immaculate Conception Newcastle West on Monday 20th April for requiem funeral mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in St David’s Cemetery, Churchtown, Newcastle West.
