It’s been a seismic time for Irish banking customers.
Last week, Austrian bank Bawag struck a deal to buy PTSB for €1.62bn, and UK neobank Monzo entered the market with free banking. And last month AIB overhauled its current account fees, while Spanish lender Bankinter mooted plans to introduce current accounts here.
