Jimmy Kimmel delivered a scathing takedown of President Donald Trump ahead of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in spectacularly savage style.

Traditionally, the White House Correspondents’ Dinner features a comedian as host, given free rein to roast the president and other prominent figures. However, with Trump, 79, set to attend as a sitting president for the first time this year, that beloved tradition has been stripped from the event’s agenda – something Jimmy found deeply troubling.

“At the Correspondents’ Dinner, typically someone funny shows up and roasts the luminaries and the president and everyone, but our president is a delicate snowflake with the thinnest fat skin of any human being ever,” Jimmy declared during his opening monologue on Thursday, April 23, night, before labeling him a “trembling drama queen.” Jimmy’s comments followed Governor Gavin Newsom’s devastating two-word dig at Trump.

Paying tribute to the longstanding tradition, Jimmy staged his own mock Correspondents’ Dinner roast, positioning himself behind a podium, addressing his studio audience as assembled dinner guests, before unleashing a torrent of criticism at the president.

His roast targeted Trump’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein, his previously alleged affair with Stormy Daniels – to whom he allegedly paid $130K in hush money during his 2016 presidential campaign – and took aim at his anatomy, reports the Mirror US.

Jimmy had his audience in absolute stitches after calling Trump “mushroom d–k,” referencing Daniels’ well-known description of his physical attributes.

While Jimmy had hoped to see Trump take center stage at the 2026 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison recently took it upon himself to pay tribute to the President.

Ellison hosted an exclusive dinner honoring Trump and White House correspondents on April 23, just ahead of the official White House Correspondents Association Dinner scheduled for Saturday, April 25.

The gathering was strictly invitation-only, held at the United States Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C. Notably, Ellison’s event took place against the backdrop of the massive merger between Warner Bros. Discovery, which owns CNN, and Paramount – a blockbuster business deal projected to reach a staggering $111 billion.

Ellison’s invitations described an “intimate gathering,” according to media-industry newsletter Breaker.

Trump is confirmed to attend Saturday’s Correspondents’ Dinner and, per the Daily Beast, he is gearing up to push back hard against the White House press corps, planning to confront journalists face to face.

The Daily Beast further reported that Trump is “expected” to take aim at outlets that have published unfavorable coverage of him, targeting specifically his administration and its handling of the Iran war.
