The Government is to introduce a new simplified Building Energy Rating (BER) for residential properties next month as the EU moves to standardise the measurement across the bloc.
BER is a measure of the energy performance of a building and allows prospective buyers or tenants to objectively compare its energy performance with different dwellings on a like-for-like basis.
