15:45 Harry The Rouge

HARRY THE ROGUE shaped well in a competitive handicap at Newcastle on his first start for Stephen Hanlon last month and, from a good draw, he is narrowly preferred to Dwindling Funds, whose excellent second on his course reappearance a fortnight ago suggests he could improve again in 2026. Tilani and Swift Salian complete the shortlist.

16:15 Donna Rumma

DONNA RUMMA was tight enough in the betting and was unlucky not to finish closer to the winner on debut at Beverley recently, having to wait for a gap two furlongs out and also meeting trouble in running entering the final furlong. She’d have likely finished a good second with a clear run and, open to improvement now, she seems sure to give a good account. Jack Channon’s Seed Ya Later, who was also runner-up on debut, looks the main danger, though confidence in the betting behind Karl Burke newcomer Tamam Star would make him a potential threat to all.

16:45 Lady Dora Mae

This is wide open, but George Boughey’s LADY DORA MAE looked on the up when going in at Southwell and Kempton and could be worth forgiving her latest Lingfield run with few miles still on the clock. She wasn’t beaten far on that occasion and this step up to a mile should suit. In-form maiden Sovereign Bright heads the list of dangers, which also include Bearin Up, Polygram and Naturalia.

17:15 Hamlet’s Night

HAMLET’S NIGHT has won three times since joining James Owen, twice over hurdles and on his only Flat start for the yard at Kempton in February. He wasn’t disgraced in the Sussex Champion Hurdle at Plumpton earlier this month and remains potentially well treated returned to the level now with this mile and a half trip no problem. Night Breeze looks to have been building up to something and can give another good account, while Fast Fred can’t be ignored in current form.

17:45 Master Richard

MASTER RICHARD was a multiple winner for Ann Duffield and he made an encouraging start for this yard when narrowly beaten at Newcastle last month. He attempted to make all of the running on that occasion only to be caught close home and, entitled to strip fitter for that outing, he still looks on an attractive mark, while his apprentice rider takes off a further 7lb. Abduction and Benacre, who finished first and third in a similar event over course and distance two weeks ago, can give him most to think about.

18:15 Alther Walden

A competitive handicap in which it may pay to side with the unexposed four-year-olds in the field, with the progressive ALTHER WALDEN topping the list. He opened his account in tremendous fashion over a mile and a half at Catterick last summer, winning by 14 lengths, and he improved again to follow up on handicap debut over a similar trip at Newcastle last month. He found plenty in the closing stages, shaping like one who will progress further once his stamina is stretched, so he makes plenty of appeal now moving up to two miles. Talismans Time shaped as if amiss in the Melrose at York when last seen but remains with potential.

18:45 Montezuma

Plenty are in with a shout. MONTEZUMA took a step forward when opening his account over this course and distance a couple of weeks ago, looking like one who will climb through the ranks this season, and he can defy a 7 lb rise in the weights at the chief expense of Reigning Profit, who didn’t enjoy the rub of the green when eighth at Pontefract last time. Recent Beverley scorer I’m Next, Knicks and Albegone all enter calculations too in this wide-open sprint.
