Injury blow for Donegal ahead of Down in Ulster championship opener

Donegal have been dealt a blow with the news that Michael Langan has picked up an ankle injury.

DonegalLive understands the 2025 All-Star midfielder sustained the injury in a behind-closed-doors challenge with the county’s U-20s last weekend.

Donegal take on Down this afternoon in Lettekenny as they get their Ulster SFC title defence underway in O’Donnell Park at 3pm.

If Donegal were to progress they’d meet Armagh in the provincial semi-finals after Kieran McGeeney’s side seen off Fermanagh in Brewster Park on Saturday to advance to the last four.
