The global head of PR giant Edelman has contacted the team in charge of his Irish firm for clarity over its handling of the Jim Glennon controversy.

Until yesterday, Richard Edelman, president and CEO of the firm, said he “was not aware” that former Edelman Ireland chair Mr Glennon had provided a character reference for a convicted sex offender.
