When the Armagh-based sportswear company, McKeever Sports, first pitched the idea of a personalised clothing range to David Clifford, there was natural reluctance on his part.
Such personalised brands were the preserve of global superstars who crossed the partisan divides of clubs and countries in their sports and enjoyed almost universal acclaim – Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Tiger Woods, or Roger Federer.
